Top Of The Mornin’ to Ya!

Well, I’m just pissed. Yesterday I made lovely yellow cornbread muffins, and this morning they were entirely green! And when I was making the eggs this morning ‘somebody’ turned them green when I walked away for a minute. Even the milk wasn’t safe! Who wants green milk?!

Well, at least that is what Russell thinks. Yeah, I know I’m the cheerful holiday person, but Russell has been catching on a little lately and I think if I play it right I can squeeze out this last year of him believing in the “tooth fairy”, so I decided to go MAD for this holiday! That includes throwing the spatula across the kitchen after I found my green eggs in the pan and I thought I saw the leprechaun making a break for it behind the fridge!!

And it has worked :) Russell doesn’t know what to think because I’m not trying to trick him with fun and games, but yelling and throwing things. I got Jon in on it and after breakfast we got down on our hands and knees to look under the dishwasher and wouldn’t let Russell close because it’s ‘too dangerous!’

I know, I’m a bad mom! But I have to say, I’m kind of having a blast today. And hey, maybe I WILL find that leprechaun and get me a pot’o gold. OR at least a barrel of oil because OUCH! I spent

not 50

not 60

not 70

but SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS filling up my gas tank yesterday!

Yeah, if anybody can find that rainbow today, let me know because I think I could believe in Santa for one more day… especially if it means a pot’o gold or more pictures from Russell. Have I mentioned my house is plastered with the spirit of St Paddy’s day?

Maybe that’s why we seem to have a leprechaun infestation.
